Remove unwanted edges from a JPEG, PNG or WebP image. Work with a free selection or use 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios. The crop is applied to the original image pixels when you generate the result.
How to use this tool
- Open one image, drop it into the page or paste it from the clipboard.
- Choose an aspect ratio. Drag the crop edges, move the selection or enter its pixel coordinates and dimensions.
- Generate the image, inspect the result, then download it or continue in another tool.
Settings and output
- Crop coordinates use the correctly oriented original image, including phone photos with EXIF rotation.
- Zoom and pan change your editing view. They do not change the exported resolution.
- Save as JPEG, PNG or WebP. Choose PNG or WebP when transparency matters.
Common questions
Does cropping resize the image?
Cropping removes pixels outside the selection. It does not stretch the selected area to a new size. Use Resize Image after cropping when you need a specific final width or height.
Can I crop to a square or a vertical story shape?
Choose 1:1 for a square or 9:16 for a vertical shape. The ratio controls the shape; the selection width and height control the number of source pixels kept.
